Excuses, Excuses
by Berni Dymet

Romans 1:20 Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made.

It's amazing how many excuses people come up with for rejecting God. Do you seriously believe God created the world in seven days?  I'm not sure just how long it took, but yes I do believe that God created the universe.

How can there be a God if He allows suffering?  Most of the suffering I see is inflicted on people - by people not by God.

Excuse after excuse with nothing new in that of course.  Jesus heals a lame man who'd been lying on a mat unable to walk for 38 years - "Take up your mat and walk." He did, but it was the Sabbath, the day of rest.  You know what the religious leaders said to the man? "How dare you carry your mat around on the Sabbath - that's work."

Just incredible.  Do I have all the answers?  Nope.  Not even close.

But I can tell you this.  Jesus heals.  He's healed me deep in my soul.  I've tasted the truth.  I've feasted on it - and that's more than enough to convince me.
